Our RagaMuffin Kittens!

Updated July 6, 2010

The kittens pictured below have been reserved or they have reservations pending, but we have some darling young kittens that are too small to make their Internet photo debut, plus a couple of retired adults and one beautiful-but-shy girl, who needs a special home. If you are interested in hearing about the little ones we have now or in updates on future kittens, please drop us a to let us know. We'll add you to our mailing list. Note: We sometimes have more than one person or family interested in our kittens at one time. Indigo Rags kittens are available until they are reserved.

RagaMuffins take up to four years to mature. When are they old enough for adoption? At about 14 to 16 weeks. The last weeks they spend with their mothers and siblings are very important. Here's why we wait. We also make sure they get their first series of kitten vaccinations and exams before they go to their new homes.

Reserved Kittens

Celebrate Good Times

These kittens are from California Dreamin' (Cally) plus Oz. They were born just a week after Janet Klarmann, one of our founding breeders, passed away. Janet celebrated the lives of those she loved, and so I've named this litter "Celebrate Good Times" in her honor. She is sorely missed, but the wonderful RagaMuffins that she was so instrumental in bringing into the world live on as a sweet legacy to her pioneering spirit. The Good Times kitties are 10 weeks old in these photos.

Above on the left, from left to right, are Jenna, Licorice, Ian and Kyra. On the right are Jenna and Kyra. Licorice and Kyra have reservations pending. See more info and photos, below. Jenna looks pretty dark in these photos, but her coloring will become lighter as she grows, giving her a lovely silver tabby pattern. She has been reserved. Ian, the kitten who looks almost white, is a cameo lynx point & white boy, and he has been reserved. "Cameo" means red and silver. It's a lovely blend that results in a lighter color than a red point kitty. Ian should have lovely apricot coloring on his ears, nose & tail, faint lynx marks (like light tabby markings), and little white feet. He will keep his blue eyes.

Licorice, on the left above, is a black & white tuxedo boy. He is the sweetest kitten, purring the minute you touch him & coming to greet us when we've been out of the room for awhile. Licorice's reservation is pending. Kyra, on the right, is shaded silver tortie girl. I love her big eyes. Her reservation is also pending. She will let us hold her for quite awhile, and she has the sweetest feeling about her. Kyra's coloring will become lighter as she gets older, looking more silvery than it does now.

Goodfellows

These kittens are from Cassandra (Cassie) and Zeus. Cassie is Cally's daughter, and I've named this litter in honor of Janet's daughter, Robin. Also, the kitty that the RagaMuffin standard was originally written to describe was named Robin Goodfellow (Puck). So, I've named this litter the "Goodfellows." The Goodfellows are 9 weeks old in these photos.

Above on the left, from left to right, are Avery, Raleigh, Summer and Jenna (she's visiting from the Good Times litter, above). On the right are Raleigh, Avery, DaVinci and Summer. See more info and photos, below. Summer (Midsummer Nights' Dream) is a natural mink silver mctabby & white girl. She is a full sister to Beau, who is currently a stud 'Muffin at Cheham, in the UK. She is staying right here at Indigo Rags to be a future mama. Currently, Summer is a light tan color, but as she gets older, the silver should be the predominant color. DaVinci, who is hanging over the edge of their play furniture, is a seal lynx point & white boy. He'll keep his blue eyes. DaVinci has been reserved for Sally, who lives in Sacramento.

Raleigh and Avery are both silver mctabby & white boys. They are both little sweethearts. Raleigh has been reserved. Avery has a reservation pending. They will probably both have green eyes. Avery, who is one of the sweetest kittens on the planet, has a health challenge, so he will be an extremely inexpensive kitty for just the right person.

Adopted Kittens

The following kittens were born here at Indigo Rags, and now they have have found their way into wonderful new homes.

Cheshire Tabbies

These kittens are from Addy & Oz, the same parents as for Falling in Love and The Closet Kitties (below). They are just 5 weeks old in these photos. They love their humans and are always happy to be petted.

All four of the Cheshire Tabbies have been adopted. Chaz is a blue classic tabby & white boy. In the photo on the left, he's the one all the way to the left, and he's sitting more-or-less on his sister in the photo on the right. Chaz is living with Sasha now in Victoria, BC. His sister, Ally, is a blue classic tabby girl, and she lives with Suzel in Sonoma. The other two are now named Truman (a seal lynx point & white boy) and Tucker (a natural mink & white boy).

Gone with the Wind

These kittens are from Charlotte & Zeus. All of these kittens are outgoing & friendly. They purr the minute we get close to them & they follow us everywhere. In the evening they "help" us to watch TV by cuddling with us or sitting on our laps.

The kitten pictured above is Indy, who is an all-blue boy. He is 15 weeks old here, and he's quite the handsome and friendly boy. Indy likes to snuggle, follow us around, curl up near us or on our laps. He is the nicest kitty companion. Indy has been adopted, and he lives now with Pam in Omaha, Nebraska.

On the left (above) are all five of the GWTW babies at 9 weeks old. On the right is India (Indy), at 12 weeks old.

Scarlett (above) is a blue cream (tortie) girl. She has been adopted by Audrey & family in Redwood City. Belle has also been adopted, and she is living with Marc & Jessica in La Selva Beach.

Rhett (above) is a cream-colored boy. He loves to play with our ankles as we walk across the house. Rhett has been adopted. He's going to live with Dianne in Grand Rapids, MN. Vivien is a lovely blue tortie point girl. She is also so friendly.... She's been adopted by Kim & family from Morgan Hill.

Falling in Love

I named this litter "Falling in Love," because we just keep falling in love with them. They are so sweet & pretty, how could we help it? These kittens are from Addy & Oz (the same parents as for The Closet Kitties (below). They are 15 weeks old here.

Harper is a blue & white tuxedo girl with a narrow white blaze. She has copper eyes & is a sweet little one. Harper has been adopted, and she's living with Tamara near Atlanta, Georgia.

Sasha (above) is a seal point & white girl. Her coloring will get a bit darker as she gets older, and she will keep her blue eyes. I love the "angel kisses" on her forehead & nose. She loves to be played with & petted. Sasha has been adopted, and she lives with her sister Ashleigh in Birmingham, Alabama.

Ashleigh is a blue mink & white girl. She loves to cuddle & she purrs & purrs. She has aqua eyes. Ashleigh has been adopted. She lives with sister Sasha with a wonderful couple in Birmingham.

Lilla is a brown mctabby girl. Like most kitties this color, she is so easy to photograph. It must be that marvelous eyeliner. Lilla has been adopted. She and the one boy in this litter (who wouldn't hold still during their photography session) live now in Santa Barbara.

Dusty's Little Darlings

These kittens are from Dusty Rosa Leigh and Zeus. They are 14 weeks old here. This litter is made up of super friendly kittens. Often, if I sit on the floor with them, they will all come to sit on my lap. When I'm ready to get up, I put two of them on the floor, then two more. By then the first two have climbed back onto my lap again! They are so friendly, they just make my heart sing.

Jack (in the photos above) is a cream lynx point & white boy. He'll stay very light in color, and he'll keep his blue eyes. Jack is super friendly and outgoing. He's usually one of the first to come over to greet me when I come into the room. He has been adopted.

This beautiful girl (above) is Tori. She's a blue lynx point & white girl with a pretty white blaze; she will keep her blue eyes. She has been adopted along with her brother, Jack, and they are now living in southern California. This girl is a super friendly kitty; she runs across the room when she sees us, and she loves to cuddle and to be petted.

Both of these kitties are super sweet. Hayden, on the left, above, is a blue mink & white boy. He has been adopted. Muffy, on the right, is a blue mink & white girl. She has been adopted.

Chryssa

This lovely girl is from Sierra and Zeus. She's 20 weeks old in these photos.

Chryssa is a lovely blue mink & white girl, and she has been adopted. Blue mink looks like a pretty cup of cappuccino. This girl is so people oriented and affectionate. You should only consider her if you want a really friendly kitty. She follows me everywhere, wants to help out with everything. She is a joy to have around. Like most mink kitties, she has aqua eyes.

The Closet Kitties

These little darlings are Adelaide and Oz' "Closet Kitties," so named because Addy retired into the closet in my office when it was time for them to be born. She didn't come to ask my help (which the mamas usually do) or make a sound, but I heard these tiny little meows and went to investigate. There they were, four little darlings, happily nursing away. They are 14 weeks old in these photos.

In the photo on the left are Sophie and Clark. Sophie is a seal point girl with blue eyes. Sophie has been adopted. Clark is a blue mink classic tabby & white boy with aqua eyes. Clark has been adopted. You can see them again in the photo on the right with Levi and Taylor. Levi is a blue point boy, and he has been adopted. Taylor is a black & white tuxedo boy, and he has also been adopted. All of these kittens are so friendly! They come right over to be petted the instant we enter the same room, and they purr and purr with pleasure when we grant their wish. They're pretty irresistible.

Tabby Trio

These three little darlings are from Cassie and Oz. They were startled by another kitty coming to investigate in the photo on the right. They are 9 weeks old in these photos.

Sophie Bea is the little brown classic tabby & white girl in the front of the basket. She has been adopted by Rosalie & Steve in Half Moon Bay. Ella is the silver classic tabby & white girl on the left in the back. She was been adopted by Suzanne in New Jersey. Oliver is a shaded silver & white boy. The silver kittens are likely to have green eyes once they are done changing (kittens eyes start out blue). So far, Sophie Bea's eyes are copper.

Crystal

This beautiful girl is from Annie & Zeus. She is 15 weeks old in these photos. She has been adopted.

Crystal is a seal silver tortie lynx point girl. Her coloring is pretty and subtle; she will appear mostly white for a long time as her silver coloring comes in over the years. She has a sweet and gentle personality. Her eyes will stay blue. They have the prettiest, ice-blue coloring to go along with her silver points. It's fun to watch the pointed kitties change and get more color over time. Crystal lives now with Shanti and her family in Merced.

Chantelle & Tess

These lovely girls are from Cassie & Zeus' "Sweet Harmony" litter. They are 13 weeks old in these photos.

The first girl in this group of two is Chantelle; she has been adopted. What a sweetheart! She's a seal silver lynx point & white girl. She has beautiful, subtle stripes, and she'll always have a light color, although she will have more color over time than she does now. Even a few weeks makes a difference in color at this age. Her eyes will stay blue. Chantelle lives with Holly and John in Redwood City.

This second girl is the beautiful Miss Tessa; she has been adopted. Tessa lives in Wales (yes, the UK). She's a shaded silver mctabby & white girl. Just the opposite of her sister Chantelle, her coloring will look lighter over time as the silver becomes more noticeable. She will most likely have green eyes once they're done changing.

Lovin' Feelin'

These friendly & adorable kitties are from Unchained Melody & Oz. They're 15 weeks old in these photos. They've all been adopted.

Aiko (the darker of these two kittens) is a blue & white tuxedo girl. She's been adopted. "Aiko" means "beloved child." Annabella has also been adopted. She's a blue lynx point & white girl, with light blue (grey) stripes on her face & legs. Both of these girls have little white feet. Annabella will always have blue eyes. Her coloring will develop over time, coming in more & more over the next several years.

Here are two more photos of Annabella (left and on the left in the second photo). The photo on the right is with her sister, McKenna. McKenna ihas been adopted by John & Kathy in northern California. McKenna is a brown mctabby & white kitty.

Meet Carey & Grayce. Grayce (on the right) has been adopted, also by John & Kathy. She's a seal lynx point & white. Just like Annabella, her eyes will stay blue & her coloring will come in more over time. The seal color is a deep, rich brown. Carey (left) is the only boy in this litter. He's a blue mctabby. Carey has been adopted by Violet in southern California.

Adopted. Kendi (left), is a blue mctabby & white girl. She is living with her half-brother Buddy (AKA Perry, from the "My Old Kentucky Home" litter below). That's McKenna again on the right.

Dream a Little Dream

Meet our little dream babies. California Dreamin' (Cally) & Oz had two boys & a girl. They are about the sweetest kittens ever. They loved to curl up on our laps, and they always came up to greet us when we entered a room (assuming they are not deep in a little kitty nap). They're named after The Mamas & the Papas' Cass Elliot, who sang "Dream a Little Dream of Me" as her first solo.

Indigo Rags girls. Cally and daughter Cassandra (Cassie) are curled up together on the left. All three little darlings are sleeping with their mama on the right. Cassie is staying here to be a future Mama Cass.

Adopted. Here are Elliott (left) and Cassidy (right) at 11 weeks. Elliott is a blue lynx point & white boy, and Cassidy is a blue point & white boy. They'll both keep their blue eyes, and their blue (gray) color will come in more & more over the next several years. It's fun to watch the pointed kitties change and get more color over time. Cassidy & Elliott went to live in Nevada with their new parents, Bob & Meg.

My Old Kentucky Home

These three little darlings are from Melody & Diamond. I named this litter "My Old Kentucky Home" because I was in Kentucky when they arrived. My cousin, Paul, was here at the other end of a cell phone, giving updates and taking care of them as the babies were born. They're all named after places in Kentucky.

Adopted. Here we have Perry, Meadow & Lexi peering out of a kitty tree-house at 8 weeks old. On the right is Lexi, at 11 weeks, who lives in Auburn with Jen, who promises to give her massages, which I know she will love.

Adopted. Perry (like Perry Como or Perry Mason--but named after Perryville, Kentucky) is a seal lynx point & white boy. In these photos he is 10 and 11 weeks old. This little darling has the softest fur & he loves his humans! He likes to climb into a lap for a little kitty snooze. He's now keeping his new retired human company, and I'm sure he's loving that. His name is "Buddy" now.

Adopted. Now "Mimi," "Meadow in Bloom" was originally named after a beautiful meadow near Springfield, Kentucky & also some of the words in the song by Stephen Foster. Mimi is a brown mctabby & white girl. She lives with Jackie & Mark in San Francisco. You can see that she has good taste in reading materials. She's 5 and 10 weeks old in these photos.

A Great Girl in a Small Package

Staying here for now. Here is Liza Jane, our first mini-'Muffin, at 5 and 7 months. She's a Chloe & Oz daughter. So far, she's smaller than most 'Muffins, but oh so sweet. She likes to sleep on the bed, and she likes to "help" read a book by sitting on top of the reader and purring.

"My Blue Heaven"

Here are Annie & Zeus' kittens. My friend Janet named this litter "My Blue Heaven," because they are all one or another form of "blue" (gray). Their current names are all taken from the 1950 movie by that name.

Adopted. These two photos are of Jackson Blue at 8 and 11 weeks. He's a blue kitty boy with the tiniest white spot on his tummy. He has a most engaging personality & he looks like he might just talk to you in a minute. ("Jack" is the male star of My Blue Heaven.) Jackson (now Kuba) lives with Theo (Professor Kleks) and Chester (Bimber) in southern California.

Adopted. Molly is a blue lynx point girl. She will keep her blue eyes. Here she is at 8 weeks and then a close-up at 14 weeks. Although she looks pretty white now, her blue coloring on her face, ears, feet, and tail will "come in" more over the next several years. She will keep her beautiful blue eyes. ("Molly" is the female lead character in the movie. She's nicknamed "Kitty," which makes me smile.) Molly lives in Pennslyvania in a beautiful old stone farmhouse.

Adopted. Dr. Graham is the biggest kitten in this litter. He's playful & very sweet. He's a blue mctabby & white boy. Here he is at 8 and 13 weeks. He lives with Kristine in San Jose. ("Dr. Graham" is Jack & Molly's doctor.)

Adopted. My Blue Rose (Rosie) is a blue patched mctabby girl... You can see that she has a cute cream spot on her forehead. She's living with Joe, in Arizona, who loves this tortie coloring. ("My Blue Heaven" becomes "My Blue Rose" for this blue & cream girl.)

Adopted. Evening Light (now Taija) is practically a twin of Dr. Graham. Marcy, who works with our vet, has adopted her. ("Evening" and "Light" are from the theme song of the movie.) Eva's new name will be Taija.

Sierra's Little Darlings

These are Sierra's little babies, both with classic markings, at about 5 weeks old.

Indigo Rags girl. "Georgia on My Mind" (on the left) is a blue classic tabby girl. This is a fairly rare color/pattern comination, and we are so happy to see it here at Indigo Rags. Georgia is staying here be a future kitty mama.

Adopted. "Smoky Mountain Tennessee" also has classic markings, and he's a seal lynx point & white boy. Smoky has blue eyes, and is ever so friendly. He lives in Oregon with Audrey and Doyle & spends his winters near Palm Springs.

Coda's May Babies

On May 3d, Coda came to see me at 4:15 in the morning, and she said, "Okay, now I want you to sit right next to me and rub my tummy!" I did, and she proceeded to deliver five darling little babies. Here they are at about 8 weeks old.

Adopted. Indiana Jones is a blue & white kitty, with lots of white and a shimmery coat. He lives now with Sonja and her family in Roseville, California.

Adopted. Big Sky Montana is a wonderful blue lynx point and white kitty boy. Although he has very different colors, you can see the family resemblance to his daddy (Oz). He lives with Sonja's mom, Nancy, in Orinda, California.

Adopted. Carrie is a lovely seal lynx point & white girl. She is a sweet girl & the biggest of this litter. She is moving to Cincinnati to live with Melissa & her other 'Muffin, Maggie.

Adopted. Dakota, a sweet seal point & white boy, lives now with big brother Sebastian in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Adopted. Ellie is a brown mctabby & white girl. She lives now with Judith & David in Boston.

Takoda (Alex) -- Adopted

Shasta -- Adopted

Clara & Oz had two beautiful boys on 10/23/04. Takoda has been adopted. Shasta is living with Linda & Jim in Grass Valley.

Adopted. Takoda is a blue point & white kitty, with a lovely white bi-color "V" over his nose and little white feet. He and Vienna (see below) are living with Debra, in the Bay Area--not too far from home.

Indigo Rags boy. "Snow on Mt. Shasta" has the most beautiful brown classic tabby markings like his dad and lots of white like his mom. Shasta is one of the sweetest kittens. He loves to play & also to spend time with people.

Halloween Babies

Coda had five little ones on Halloween night. Four of them have gone to their new homes, and Miss Sierra Sky is going to stay right here at Indigo Rags where she will be a 'Muffin mama when she grows up.

Adopted. Nickey (Boots) is a blue & white kitty, with a lovely white ruff & symmetrical white mittens. He is living in Campbell, California with a wonderful family. They have a 'Muffin already, one of Oz' brothers!

Adopted. Sebastian is a blue bicolor boy with lots of white. He lives with Kathy & her family in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She writes to say that he is a most affectionate kitty boy.

Adopted. Vienna, a seal lynx point & white girl, lives with Takoda at Debra's house in the Bay Area. Debra wrote to say that Vienna and Takoda are so cute playing together. They love to be where Debra is, and they compete for lap space. Vienna generally wins, it sounds like, and Takoda curls up nearby.

Adopted. Josie is a pretty brown tabby & white girl. She is now making her home in Portland, Oregon, with Rickie & Joseph.

Indigo Rags girl. Sierra Sky is a blue mctabby & white girl. She is staying right here at Indigo Rags to be one of our 'Muffin mamas.

Charley & Joey

Chloe and Oz surprised us with two lovely flame-pointed boys on 8/19/04. These two are very sweet, even for 'Muffins. Charley has white mitts, while Joey's feet are lightly red (orange). When grown, they will be mostly white cats, with a lovely golden glow, and flame-colored ears, tails, and noses. Both will keep their baby-blue eyes.

Adopted. Charley is a companion to Gail, who lives in Reno. He'll have a big Newfoundland puppy to play with! Joey has moved to New York, where he is a companion for some grown children's much-loved mama.

Theo (Professor Kleks)

Adopted. Clara and Oz produced this beautiful boy, born 8/9/04. Theo is a blue lynx point & white kitty with classic tabby markings (rare). He has blue eyes and little white feet. "Theo" means "gift from God," which he certainly has been in his short little life.

Theo lives with Kasia & Milosz near Los Angeles, Callifornia.
